Telemarketers used to be a huge problem when I lived at home and answered the landline, but usually I'd just hang up on them :p And I get wrong-number calls and texts occasionally on my cell, but I usually ignore them if I don't get the chance to pick up and tell them it's the wrong number. I guess my philosophy when it comes to annoying calls is just ignore ignore ignore, haha.

heh yea i understand they can get really annoying. In fact, most good things become annoying once they happen too many times and when you did NOT ask for it. heh.

I feel bad because what you said (about previous owner of your landline having listed it somewhere) reminded me that I actually used my dorm's landline number on several websites for registration of stuff so I think the phone has been ringing off the hook since. And I don't live in my dorm anymore..

I took the phone off the hook when I was there.. I pity whoever lives there now... ><

What drive me crazy are calls from charities. I get lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of calls from charities. While I understand that it's for good causes, I really just can't stand getting a call from a different charity every 2 days.

I think I'm getting these many calls because the previous family who had my landline number had it listed somewhere, though.

YES!! I hate those kinds of phone calls as well. They get on my nerves! What's worse for me is getting texts from, I assume, teenage brats about homeworks and what so-and-so did at lunch that day. It's freaking annoying! My husband sent them back a really crazy, fucked up text about how he wanted to know where they lived and what they were wearing lol. Yeah, that stopped them!

Dunno what to do about your landline calls. We just stopped the landline altogether and I don't answer a call with an unfamiliar number anymore. If they're trying to reach me, they can leave me a message.

Wow, relax Cherlynn! I understand your frustration although mine was never has bad as yours. It happened to me every now and then. I absolutely hate telemarketers who go on and on despite saying "I am not interested" multiple, I just press the red button afterwards.

I wanted to suggest changing your numbers but since you are waiting for job calls, it wouldn't be wise. Maybe you can do it after you got your job? :)
